Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry has two elements:

1. Treatment planning
2. Restoration of teeth or dental implants

At Vermilion the restorative dentistry is carried out by a prosthodontist. Prosthodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of oral function by the replacement of missing teeth and other oral structures by artificial devices.

In other words, a prosthodontist is the architect for the restoration of your smile.

The artificial devices are constructed by dental technicians in the laboratory and include crowns, bridges, veneers, complete and partial dentures.

All four of the clinicians who carry out prosthodontics at Vermilion have undertaken a residency programme of further training and education to provide referred patients with the best treatment plan for the restoration of their smile.
