Dr Siovas was born in a small town in Macedonia, Greece. He was awarded a diploma in dental surgery from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1996. He spent the first two years of his career working as a dentist in the Hellenic Army. In 1998 he was accepted for the three-year postgraduate programme in prosthodontics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. By this time he had also opened a private practice in Thessaloniki.
In 2003, Dr Siovas was appointed as a clinical trainer in the department of prosthodontics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he taught young undergraduate students the laboratory and clinical procedures in prosthodontics.
Dr Siovas became a junior partner of a multi-disciplinary private dental clinic in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1997 where he committed himself to practice limited to prosthodontics, restoring his patients’ smile.
His interest in implants – and how the patient’s quality of life can be improved through them – led him to study for two more years and in 2009 he obtained a diploma in implantology from the German Association of Implantology. By 2011, he had completed his PhD thesis in prosthodontics, and was awarded his doctorate.
Dr Siovas arrived in the Highlands of Scotland in 2012 and very quickly cemented his reputation as a highly capable prosthodontist with a detailed ability for implant retained solutions. He now divides his time between Vermilion in Edinburgh and private practice in the Highlands of Scotland.
