Dr Franciska Veldhuizen is a specialist in prosthodontics. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 1996, followed by four years working in hospital and general dental practice. During this time she gained her MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and subsequently began her specialist training in prosthodontics at the Edinburgh Dental Institute.
She obtained her Masters in Clinical Dentistry(MClinDent) from the University of Edinburgh in 2006 and her Membership in Restorative Dentistry(MRD) from the RCSEd in 2008. She was accepted onto the specialist list in prosthodontics in 2009 and is now actively involved with the RCSEd as an examiner for the MFDS.
Dr Veldhuizen has been working in specialist practice since 2009 and values the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary specialist setting where she is committed to providing the highest standards of patient care. Her clinical practice incorporates all aspects of prosthodontic dentistry, both simple and complex, using dental implants and conventional dental techniques. She maintains a lifelong passion for art as a hobby and particularly enjoys applying these skills to the aesthetic aspects of her work.
